I'm finding that knowing "what" and "how much" to eat is no longer a problem. Will power isn't even my biggest enemy. (I can stop in the break room and still not "sneak" unhealthy snacks when nobody is looking... even when they are one of my favorites.

At this point it has become more a matter of endurance. Taking the time to plan out meals. Taking time to prepare a healthy meal. Not taking the easy prepared food or fast food route when I'm tired. Making the time to track what I ate. Planning ahead to have a good supply of healthy snacks and foods on hand. Getting out up and out to get some active time in my day, etc.

Doing all of those things day after day, week after week, month after month and not getting lazy about it. That is where I've fallen before. And that is where I am in the most danger of falling again.

I realize that effective, long-term weight loss has to be a result of lifestyle change. That means putting in a lot more thought, time and work related to meals and eating. For me, keeping that level of effort going is the most difficult part.

I agree; keeping up with it is indeed a challenge. I try to keep a stock of 'quick' options around and cook more on the weekend and freeze for so I don't have to a bunch of cooking during the week.

It's hard for me to plan when travelling, but I'm getting better thanks to FatSecret.

This is a lifestyle change for those of us who've been obese. Keep doing the good work and before you know it, all the preparation and thought going into your meals and snacks will be second nature!

I think your a VERY strong person when it comes to diet (that I see EVERY day) and your much stronger when it comes to preparing your food/exercise as well. Not totally there yet but compared to years before you have been really different about those things this time around. Because of that I have gotten a teeny bit better at choosing the right foods as well Very Happy Still not near as good as you are but I will get there Wink Thanks for not being TOO tough on me but yet tough in your nice way. By the way, people at my work noticed your weight loss and said WOW your hubby sure looks different since the last time we seen him. Very Happy
