Way to go, Paronical! You already have the first few steps out of the way. Deciding you need to do it, actually starting, sticking with it for the first several weeks, joining this group for support
are all great steps.
Kildayan (my wife) and I are presumably on the "Choose to Lose" diet, but I've had to make some adjustments. Like cutting the protein shakes out for now (right kidney does NOT like them.) Also, I've had to adjust a bit to match what I feel I can live with for the long term.
Still a work in progress, but in the end my "diet" is mostly watching overall calories and eating balanced and healthy foods. We also have an official "cheat day" each week like the Choose to Lose diet. That has helped a lot.
