just found this site. I have been "dieting" for 6.5 wks. and have lost 12 lbs., but still have 13 more to lose. My weight loss have really slowed this last week, and i didn't cheat. Working out about 4 times per week using fitness dvds and keeping my calories around 1000 per day. Need some good news this week....

Hey, kmarjama! I'm fairly new to this site too, and brand new to this group. Congrats on a 12 lb. loss! That's huge!! I've got 6.5 lbs. to go, but it's going rather slowly. I run 5 miles about 5 days a week, and I am on a low-carb diet. I like it because it really keeps the hunger at bay. Even further, it makes going low-calorie a lot easier. (I sometimes have a hard time getting my calories past 1100.) I don't know what diet you're on, but you may want to look into low carb if you haven't already... Hope that was helpful! Smile

Congrats! Im just starting and planning on the same method as you. 1000 calories per day and working out daily. Its nice to know this "simple" method can work. Smile
