Sad Anybody else having the same problem? I know muscle weighs more than fat, but how frustrating !

I know it is frustrating, and I get bogged down by it too. However, I try to keep telling myself to look beyond the scale and focus on how my clothes fit and how I look and feel. We don't want to be a slave to the scale: it should only be just our guide but not our master.

Good luck! Smile

Molly -- I have recently started swimming 4-5 times week, and have been upset by lack of weight loss. But, I realized my jeans fit much better! It is still frustrating -- when I was younger I swear the same lifestyle would show results faster. But, any improvement is great! Focus on any improvements, especially in the extra energy you get, and you probably are sleeping better as well. Weight loss will come in time!

Thanks for the encouragement, I guess would like the pounds to come off quicker, but patience is key here. I have recently started working out again (2 weeks ago) and started Yoga - great for stretching ! I'll just keep going and stay positive.

I have been working out with a trainer, and lost only 1 kilo in 2 months, but you are right, you have to be patient and stay positive, that's my goal!

I have been at the same weight (until I went on vacation over Memorial day and gained 10 pounds), about 160, for the last year or more. It is very frustrating. It seems that I am working so hard but getting no where. I have found it best for me to stay off the scale and just go by how my close fit. I have gone down about 3 sizes. I realized I gained vacation weight because my loose clothes were no longer loose. Keep working at it. The leaner you become the better you will feel and look.

I was exercising everyday sometimes twice a day for 6 weeks. Because of heading back to work I missed a week, and I lost 10 pounds! What's that about? !!

Good for you ! Maybe the stress from work helped, I figured out that meds for menopause was part of the problem for me. I'm off them now, back to working out and I added cardio, so we'll see what happens.
