I recently joined a gym for the first time. I am in no way a fitness buff, but the trainer there is really good. One of the first things he told me is don't net any fewer than 1200 calories. If you only eat 1000 calories and burn say 300 of that you are throwing your body in to starvation mode and it will hang on to whatever it can. It was a really hard concept for me, but it is working slowly. He also has me increase the protien and cut the carbs. Just a bit to start, but I do not get hungry as often. Hoe this helps a little. Good Luck

Agree with Chris!! youre eating way too little. I too feel the way you do...never wanting to leave home, hide behind everything...Cringe looking at my pics....but it does get better and once the wt start coming down you shall feel better about yourself and regain your confidence. Best of Luck!! Smile

I wish both of you were here so we could chat in person. I struggle with some of those issues too. I hate photos of myself. I heard something recently that really struck me. There is a commercial where Katie Couric is interviewing Angela Bassett. Katie comments on Angela's fabulous arms and Angela's reply includes her saying that everyone has something. I see this every morning and it's true. I challenge you to fund your something. Mine? I love my nails.

Count me in, I feel the way you all do. I hate myself and won't even look at my body in the mirror, have no idea what's going on "back there" and I'm not interested in looking....LOL....it is so sad that i feel this way about myself in my forties, I also thought I would be going to seed much later in life.
