I just turned 40 and I have to say losing weight in the past year or so has been much harder. My metabolism seems to have really slowed down. Of course up until this week I had been off-track in terms of exercising and eating properly, but I still noticed I was much more prone to gaining than I have ever been before. At first I felt sorry for myself... now I am just determined to deal with it. Am I the only one whose battle has gotten harder with age?

I completely agree! Turned 40 this summer and it really has gone to h.e.double-hockeysticks-in-a-handbasket. Now my orthopedist has told me to lose at least 40 pounds to ease my knee pain/injury. Oh joy! DIet in full force starting today and exercising as much as I can around the full time job, husband, and 5 kids. OY!
