Hi everyone I am 28 and need to lose 55lbs. I am very lazy and I can't seem to get myself going. I was doing great when I started getting on this website, then I lost faith for about a month in a half and now I am ready to get back on track. Does anybody have any advise on how I can increase my energy and get motivated to exercise?

my advice is to focus on your diet first then add in exercise. Once you start to see some weight coming off by eating better it will give you more motivation and energy to get out to exercise. Its also great to find someone you can go exercise with, a walking buddy or someone to go to the gym with. I bought a xbox kinect because i find it hard to get out of the house after a long day at work and the kinect lets me work out at home and not really feel like i'm working out, but rather just having fun playing games. Hope that helps!

I agree with acarson, for now i'm just watching what i eat, not being very strict with it either, but trying to stay below 2000 a day. I'm lazy and hate long boring exercise too, love dancing so trying to dance as much as I can, around the house, any stupid moves i want Razz

I also hate boring exercises, but I find that really intense workouts get me pumped and motivate me. I've done p90X in the past (though I didn't lose weight, I gained muscle mass and boosted my confidence), and I'm going to begin Insanity soon. Since those are expensive though, I recommend also looking into some Jillian Michael's DVDs. They can be pretty cheap at Walmart or Target, and they're pretty intense, fun, and (the best part) quick! Most workouts she offers are about 30 - 35 min long, which isn't really that long compared to other workouts I've done! I hope this helps!

Hey, I'm the same way too. I actually just discovered hula hooping, and I'm having a blast! You lose around 210 calories in 30 minutes, equivalent to being on a treadmill. The trick is you need a "grown up" hoop (not one of the kid ones) and it needs to be a little heavier to keep the momentum going, but it is one of the most fun things I've done to workout!

Hello, I have just hit my 58lbs I have lost. What I recommend most important even if you dont work out much, eat healthy. If your trying to lose weight need cut calories try between 1400-1800 a day, eat veggies and fruits also protein, Fiber one bars and brownies are awesome. Do inhome workout I am doing Les Mills combat its awesome. If you cant do that just do some squats, crunches and jumping jacks everyday it helps. But like I said watch what you eat healthy diet it important.
