Is the aktins a good diet plan to choose when I have 20 pounds to lose? I weight 165 and want to be about 145 or 140 by early 2014. Any one have suggestions?

Hi Courtjacoob9,

YES the Atkins plan is excellent. I would even go as far as saying
start with the Induction - Follow it to a tee and you will lose that excess weight in nothing flat!!! Also make sure you drink ALOT of Water, the Water helps flush out the toxins and FAT RESIDUE. Good Luck to you on your most personal journey.....Marlene.

Make sure you get enough fibre in your diet- dont make it all about meat meat meat, because you could suffer from severe constipation- add ispaghol to your diet or some fibre supplement if you're not a fan of vegetables.

I personally love Atkins

I know some atkins people had some severe health issues after being on the diet for long periods of time. If your looking for weighloss and being just an overall healthy person I would suggest the Mediterranean diet and if you want to lose weight more quickly probably cutting your grain consumption.

Try the Paleo Diet! It's like Atkins but encourages more vegetables and doesn't do as much dairy.
