About / History

Dean Ornish is a cardiologist who developed a low fat eating lifestyle program in the 1990s that promised to reverse heart disease and lead to better health and weight loss. The Ornish Diet is one of the few popular diets with research papers in peer review journals. Dr Ornish has also published best sellers for the general public including "Eat More, Weigh Less" (2000) - for weight loss market, "Dr Dean Ornish's Program For Reversing Heart Disease" (updated 2004), and a few cookbooks and books dealing with stress management / meditation.
