How To Follow Net Daily Calories:

Track what you eat, be moderate where necessary, weigh your food and become familiar with sizes and weights so you are able to 'guesstimate' when eating out, don't try to kid yourself, and track all your activities too. Be more active when you can, try to make it just a natural part of your life rather than a chore, a box that has to be ticked.

Avid_eva's top tips

1.Track everything you eat - Fatsecret is indispensable!
2.Track ALL your activities every day.
3.Try to fit in some exercise or activity most days - make it at a time that works for you so it's easy to become a habit. Don't make the classic mistake of thinking exercise is all you need to lose weight! It won't take you long on Fatsecret to see that the in/out equation is very unbalanced! Exercise is good for your health, your mood, and your mind. But it's what goes in your mouth that makes the biggest difference, unless you're planning to run marathons every day!
4.DON'T STARVE OR DEPRIVE YOURSELF! You have to LIVE along the way. You never want to look back over the time you spent losing weight and regret missing out on stuff.
5.Plan ahead. The more prepared you are the better. Try to be moderate in 2 of your daily meals if you know the 3rd is gonna be a doozy!
6.EVERY DAY is a new beginning. Don't write whole weeks off. If you blew it, don't dither in denial. Track it ALL. Dust yourself down, don't beat yourself up, and get back on it.
