The Right-Choices Diet

This diet is my attempt to exercise some self-control over my eating habits, which have always been questionable. Basically, you eat a lot of meats and veggies, cut carbs as much as possible, drink about a million glasses of water a day, and commit to walking/running/biking everywhere. It's about making actively healthy choices, in all aspects. It's about long term happiness, like being fit and feeling good, as opposed to short term happiness, like a bag of chips or chocolate.

Breathebetter's top tips

1.Choose the right pain! For example, there's the pain of denying yourself a candy bar now, or the pain of feeling self-conscious in a swimsuit later. Which pain are you choosing?
2.Wanna snack? Drink a whole glass of water and if you STILL want to snack... Then have a healthy, small snack.
3.Don't eat your feelings. When you get stressed, get busy.
4.Get creative with your food!
5.Only go to the store once a day. That'll stop you from enabling your late-night snack fixes.

About / History

I joined the Peace Corps and moved to Ukraine, where the carbs are kind of like oxygen - everywhere, and constantly being inhaled without even realizing you're doing it. I gained 20 pounds since I moved here last September. Now, I'm trying to lose that weight at a little then some through smart eating and an active lifestyle.
