Calorie Counting & The Beck Diet

 Summary:

With the Beck Diet, you can choose any dietary diet you would like to follow, whether it is Atkins, South Beach, or any other program the suits your fancy.

The Complete Beck Diet for Life can be found at any bookstore, library or on Amazon. (I prefer Amazon, you can get a new copy for $8).

This "diet" isn't really a diet. The book teaches you skills through cognative therapy to eliminate self-sabotage and teaches you how to stay on track.

The book is structured in 5 stages.

About / History

I already knew what was needed to lose weight: Diet and exercise. My issue has always been emotional eating (something that is covered in the Beck Diet), over eating, and eating out of boredom. I lacked the ability to stay motivated and I always had excuses as to my eating habits.

I picked up this book off of a recommendation from Jen, a blogger for www.priorfatgirl.com. She has lost a tremendous amount of weight, and it is definietly an inspiration.
