Well, if you count all the weight I gained/lost during pregnancy... wow -- that's a shocker... here it is... started at 160, gained 60 (yes, I topped out at 220 headed to the hospital). Lost 75 by the time our son was 6 mo old. So .. here I am... flatlined ...

More Smarty Pants Info

1.Plan. Plan. Plan.
2.Use your slow cooker. A beautiful bowl of pasta fagioli to come home to in the winter is... priceless.
3.Rice cookers are awesome. My favorite meal to do is brown rice in the slow cooker, and just add to the top during cooking: broccoli, shredded carrots, scallions, sugar snap peas, and chopped onion. Sometimes, I'll stir fry some chicken to go along with it.
4.Make your lunch(es) the night before, and store in the fridge. Makes it really easy to just grap and throw into my lunch sac (washable cheap small beach bag thingy).
5.Eat more of your calories early in the day, and taper them off as the day goes on. (If you do this for a few days, and eat enough grains, etc. you will find that you CAN'T eat more than just 1 c. or so of pasta fagioli at night, for example)
6.If you don't take care of your body... where will you live?
