How To Follow Allen's Natural Food Diet:

Eat natural foods. Peanut butter is a great example. Compare the labels of "natural" peanut butter with others and you will see that usually the natural has peanuts, oil, and salt. The other, which is what people normally buy, has high fructose corn syrup and preservative, etc. Also, load up on vegetables. Juicing is a great way to get your daily veggies. I also eat a spinach or kale salad every day which contains about 3 cups of greens and a small amount of dressing for flavor. 3 bananas and 2 oranges almost everyday too. All of these are low calorie and high nutrition. And with the high fiber content it is also very filling. I satisfy my sweet tooth with dried dates and cranberries.

Allenwgulley's top tips

1.Replace sweets with fruit, nuts, and berries. Blueberries and blackberries make a delicious fat free snack.
2.Juice every day. I juice carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, and sometimes apples then add a couple of tablespoons of ground flax for a healthy filling snack.
3.Stop eating out. There is no room in a healthy diet for McDonalds and Burger King. Eliminate saturated fat and high fructose corn syrup by eating natural unprocessed foods such as nuts, berries, fruit, etc. The carbs and fat in these natural foods is better for your body.
4.Count your calories. The goal is to consume 100-200 calories less than you need each day. This will give you a slow weight loss yet enough energy to keep your metabolism up. And yes, you have to count how else will you know how much you have had.
5.Find some healthy alternatives to "cheat" with. When I am looking for a sugar buzz I have some natural peanut butter with a banana and maybe a little honey or a few dates which are like pure sugar. I also snack on pickles which have almost no calories. This way I keep the fat content low and my snacks have some nutritional value.
6.When your hungry your body isn't just telling you it needs calories, it also needs nutrients. View every meal and snack as an opportunity to provide your body with the nutrients it needs. By doing this you will consume less calories and fat.
