Calorie restricted diet

 Summary:

A calorie restircted diet to eitehr maintain or lose weight. The general rule of eating 2000kcal a day if you are a moderately active woman to maintain your weight is perhaps not right. If I eat that many calories I will put on weight. This diet is completely individual. Some people need more calories than others. If you're not sure how many you need, start on 2000 and see how your weight changes. And slowly cut down on your calories until you are noticing either weight loss or maintenance, according to your goals. This diet should help you become more aware of what you are eating and what your body requires. You can structure your eating any way you like and if you feel like junk food have it, as long as you don't go over your calorie restriction for the day. 80% of weight loss is what you eat, 20% about exercise. So this diets basic premise is eat less than you burn and you will lose weight. Be careful to not eat too little, your body still needs food. Weight loss is addictive but you must still eat!

How To Follow Calorie restricted diet:

You do need to check the nutritional information on packs, but eventually you will know more or less what food contains what calories. Try pack food for the day, buying lunches will mean too many calories. If you know you are going out for a meal (an average size meal will be around 500 calories), just eat less during the day, or eat low calorie food. Just be conscious of what you are eating. I also find eating small meals at night, and an early dinner, helps me to lose.

About / History

Its very easy to overeat. When I started exercising with a heart rate monitor I was more conscious of how many colries I was burning, and therefore how many calories I needed to sustain myself. I often eat to feel full, or because the food is tasty, but my body doesn't need that much food. I struggle with quantity size. This diet teaches you to eat the right amount for your body and activity level, and makes you aware of what you are putting in your mouth, and if it is necessary. Whether its to lose weight or maintain is up to you, but it will teach you to eat healthier and smaller portions.
