The Natural Food Balanced Diet

 Summary:

This is not a "diet." It is a suggestion for how to build lifelong healthy eating habits. If you go on a "diet," then you'll eventually go off of your diet. When you do, you'll eat like crap and gain the weight back. If you want to live a healthy lifestyle, then you have to make permanent changes. Healthy food just tastes better than unhealthy food.

biomedblondie's top tips

1.Check the ingredient list. If you can't pronounce the ingredients or don't know what they are, don't eat it.
2.Natural is always better than processed. Put down the margarine and pick up some real butter! Put away the aspartame and buy real sugar (or stevia). Just use less of it.
3.When in doubt, start from scratch. It may sound like more work, but at least you know EXACTLY what is in the food you're eating.
4.Eat until you're 80% full then stop. You can always have a little snack later if you're still hungry.
5.Eat to nourish your body, not to satisfy cravings or assuage your emotions.
