1.Eat low fat and low calorie whenever possible - nothing is banned as long as you can burn of the calories again!
2.Use simple ways to increase exercise - use the stairs not lift, walk instead of drive when you can. take a walk in the evening or lunch breaks - even a ten minute walk burns more calories that sitting around
3.gradualy eat smaller portions, don't just cut everything out in one go - your body will soon get used to the portions and you can reduce it again if need be
