High Protein Diet with Toning and Cardio Exercises


 Summary:

This strategy combines several elements into a healthy fitness/diet plan: 1. I'm using Osolean protein powder, 2. Increased water consumption, 3. Lower calorie consumption, 4. Acai superfood/antioxidant supplement, 5. 1. Osolean Powder is derived from whey and engages a unique (patented) peptide technology. Basically, its manufacturer was able to isolate the proteins that burn fat, the protein is easily digestible, and also has amino acids that are required to convert that protein into muscle. I is super high in easily digested calcium. Osolean mixes into about anything (including use as a coffee creamer), but I like it best in OJ or vanilla yoghurt. It does good things for me: curbs my appetite, burns off fat, gives me an easily digestible 10 g of protein with only 45 calories. One month's supply is about $100.00, available through a Mannatech rep.

2. I'm going to MAKE myself drink 8 glasses of water everyday. It's no secret that water helps flush the junk out of your system and is exactly what your cells need for healthy function!

3. I'm going to COUNT calories, the one thing I have been dreading. But (though it's starting to sound like a commercial) this Fatsecret thing is awesome. I LOVE how technology helps me keep an accurate, 24-7, easy record. I'm lowering my goal to 1500 calories per day. I have a huge sweet tooth.... so we'll see!

4. OPTIONAL: Zambazon Acai superfood supplement. I buy it direct from Zambazon's website. It's organic and a little more expensive than other brands... but do your research. Zambazon freeze dries their Acai berries and their product is a whole food (not an extract) that provides antioxidants, essential and healthy fats, plus unique fibers and proteins. It can be put in any beverage, smoothie, juice or milk. 90 grams (30 scoops) per jar. One month's supply (one scoop per day) is about $25.00. I'm going to start with two scoops per day for 3 months.

5. I'm going to use Callanetics to start toning my muscles. Callanetics is a slow, gentle, stretching and strengthening series that is good for anyone with a bad back (like me). It is amazingly effective. It advertises 10 hours/10 years younger. And that's basically what happens- your body responds to deep (inside out) stretching that firms everything up. Available through Amazon.com.... my version is the original, vcr version. $10

AnnieMsnow's top tips

1.Take 2 scoops of Mannatech Osolean whey protein supplement about 20 minutes before breakfast and dinner. This helps me feel full. I've checked out many protein powders... this is the ultimate- 45 calories, 10 grams of protein, 225 mg of calcium, made from whey, patented isolated protein complex that actually burns fat, about a $100 a month.
2.Increase water intake to 8 glasses a day... water helps flush toxins, etc., helps your body recover from exercise, and supports healthy cells (your body's foundation for health, healing, and function)..
3.Reduce calories to between 1,200 and 1500 per day. Cut out all empty carbs and sugar. YOU MUST exercise if you are going to go lean on calories, otherwise your body will slow down your metabolism trying to conserve energy. Weight-loss = burning more calories than you are taking in!
4.Consider adding Zambazon certified organic açaí antioxidants/ anthocyanins and healthy omegas.
5.Use veggies for snacks.... dip celery and carrots in salsa instead of chips!
6.Add moderate daily cardio-exercise and stretching/ toning. I'm swimming 3-4 days a week, 2 hour sessions. THis has been good for me because I can exercise without putting strain on my back or joints. Concentrate on your personal best! If you can only do 10 repetitions out of 30... then GOOD JOB! About / History

In the past, I've used these health/diet/exercise approaches independently. Now I'm combining them for optimal results. Many other successful strategies also include: lowering calories, moderate exercise, increasing water intake, adhering to a high protein diet (-carbs, sugars, etc.). I've chosen Osolean because it gives me 10g of protein per serving, but only 45 calories. And my experience is that it melts inches. Period. I wish that Fatsecret had a place to log in measurements! Don’t forget to take your measurements! Why? Because muscle is heavier than fat. I've made the mistake of using the scale as my only point of reference for success. Yes, I want to lose weight... but what I REALLY want to do is lose inches! I'm adding exercise, toning, and calorie counting to my Osolean plan. I have splurged on sweets in the past, but now I'm serious about cutting out all the sugars and empty carbs.
