Just posting a shout out to the green team. Post a little something about yourself so we can get to know each other.

Me: Im trying to lose some poundage before my faience's birthday bash on June 23. I just "realized" that I really do need to count my calories (as opposed to just eating healthy or so I think) because Im tending to add an extra 300 ish calories in the evening because I thought I still had some calories left. So as of yesterday and until the 23rd Im counting EVERYTHING.

Tell us about yourself!
Started at: 141 lbs April 2012
1st Goal: 129.9 lbs
2nd Goal: 119.9 lbs
Final Goal: 114.9 lbs By June 23rd 2012

I'm trying to lose weight before my sister's wedding in August. I used to be a competitive swimmer, but have become less active. As a result, over the past 7 years I've gained 55lbs. I'm hoping to lose it this summer, or at least get pretty close. I want to be the hottest bridesmaid at my sister's wedding. Smile

Weddings are a great incentive to look your best. You get to see EVERYONE and I know in my family it means a lot of pressure from me to look good not from my relatives, though if I looked bad I'm sure they would let me know. The only way I have ever been successful with weight loss was to fixate on an event and make it really important to fit into an outfit before then.

So cheers to your sisters wedding and my fiances birthday because those events are going to make us skinnier!

Hi all! I've "grown" considerably over the last 3 years. Between health issues slowing me down and a boyfriend who does all the (fantastic) cooking... I've put on 40 lbs and gone from a size 6/8 to 16 (OUCH!!) So I've decided to start tracking both my calories and exercise and get real honest with myself.

I just started a couple weeks ago and so far I'm only down 3 lb. But I'm finding that I'm changing some of my internal processes about choosing what to eat and what to DO. And I think that's what I really need - those internal changes.
