Another brisk 2.3 miles today. As pondered yesterday, I started out running for just a little bit in order to get my heart rate up, then kept a steady fast pace.

While I'm feeling motivated, I'm pretty sure the intention of this challenge is not to pack the two walks into two consecutive days. I'm therefore going to try to get in more than the challenge suggests... but we'll see. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, so likely won't have time for a walk.

I definitely don't plan to weigh in daily. Have had issues with that in the past. I've gained about 15 lbs since I quit smoking 7 months ago, and would like to lose it in a healthy and consistant manner. That in itself would be something new for me. Confused

I got a great app for my I phone. 5K - from couch to 5K. It's really simple where you start with a5 minute walk, then run for 1 minute, walk for 1 1/2 minutes (8 times) then a 5 minute cool down walk. You take your phone and it dings and tells you when to walk and when to run. I don't think that I want to do a 5K, but it's a gradual program and it's like having a buddy walking with you. I added 15 extra minutes of walking to get my full 45 minutes in. Not sure how far I actually went.

Thanks Wetpoodle - that sounds like a wonderful app. Will download it tonight and see if I can try it out tomorrow!
