Morning workouts are the reason I lost my initial weight back in 2009. Went from 216lbs to 158lbs (58lbs) from 2009 to 2010. I have now leveled off and started bicycle racing and also slacked off on the morning routine, I think this would be why I'm stuck at my current weight of 170-175. I know I am not over-weight by most standards but for a cyclist my extra 10-15lbs make a huge difference. This will be the kick in the pants I need to start the morning workouts again.
I'm not sure what this challenge is geared toward: gym workouts or just getting out either walking, running or hiking. But either way I know I feel better throughout the day and the AM workouts jump start the metabolism.
Remember to eat before a longer AM workout but if you keep it short eat afterwards.

Agreed that morning workouts are great! I just started last week, but I'm loving it. This is coming from a person that struggled to get up every morning and make it to work on time. Now, I'm getting up an hour earlier, putting in a half hour on the treadmill, and feeling much better. I actually have MORE energy in the morning than when I was "resting" when I first got up.

I joined to help me continue this good habit. I know that soon I'll be saying, "I did good last week, I can skip it and sleep in today" and it'll just spiral from there.

I've been saying for some time that I am going to get up in the morning and work out before work. . . I did it today! Did Level 1 of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred! Joining this challenge so I can make this a habit!
