so far off today and loving it.....

back later Smile off to The Ymca........ oh yes by the way my thighs on top are killing me, I hurt to bend to pee, to get out of bed, and to walk I am slow when starting out when I get up out of the chair. I hobble for a minute, too funny.

Sandra sounds like a good night with hubby.

Anne yes , I think I was too comfortable in just doing.....instead of pushing myself.

Morning sistas,

I didn,t realize our challenge ends in three days. How quickly four weeks goes. Would like some feed back? Do we want to have team challenges again did it help motivate u or not? We would need to know who is willing to partcipate and make new teams or we can all be one team and have a walking goal. We could walk to everyones hometown and u could tell us about your city when we get there. Ideas?? Laurie calf raises today do some for Donna toes in,out and straight hit it sassies! Coffee and calf raises, Laurie

Whatever we do I need and want to be involved, I feel like I am failing but I don't see me getting to focus till middle of april. This did go by fast! I will say I am sooo much better ate eating fresh f/v than even just a few months ago. So I guess that is some improvement.

Good morning all!!!

Woke to a cold in my nose. Just what I need before vacation. Chris is sick with a cold and diarrhea and Lizzy has the sniffles. Ugh why when we have things to do. My anniversary is Sat and my husband and I had plans for dinner and a movie. Doubt it will happen now.

Laurie I for sure want to do another month of a challenge. I didn't get to participate like I wanted with the broken toe. Finally feels better to get back to running again!!!

I like that idea of walking to each ones home town/state!!! Hmmm how should we do it? Let's be one team is my vote!!!Shall we start April 1? I promise I won't pull an April fools joke like last year on the BLC site!! hee hee

March 28th will be one year since I parted with my Gall bladder. Wow how time flies!!! I was at my lowest weight then of 195. Oh I see that number in my near future!!!

If it's "SPRING" then why must there still be snow in the forecast? Hope the Easter Bunny can slip and slide his way to NE!!!

Have a great day all! Oh and decision with Greg's job will be made the week of April 8th. Cross fingers!!!

Morning everyone!

My granddaughter is still with me and I am loving every minute of it. I really can't believe that my son didn't call for her to come home yesterday, because I know their power is back on. So 3 nights have turned in to 7...so far. Maybe he won't call today either. LOL!

Denise, I am so glad that you finally got to do something different. I love the YMCA, but I hate going alone. I definitely understand about not really wanting to go outside of your comfort zone. Last year I went to one Zumba class and I stood out like a sore thumb and I haven't been back. I shouldn't care and I need to make myself get past those feelings.

Kat, I have coffee...do you?

Donna, So sorry about your ankle. Just do what the doctor says so it can heal...this too shall pass.

Chanda, I hope you are feeling better today.

Renee, Maybe you won't be in MI long before you get sent somewhere else.

Sandra, A splurge with hubby is good sometimes. Hope you enjoyed it!

Cathy, Are you liking your new job?

Anne, I am hoping to see Oz this weekend too.

Laurie, Whatever we do, I am in. I do think that team challenges keep us posting all through the challenge, instead of dropping out like we usually do. I do have one suggestion if we do points, and that is to change tracking to staying under your calorie limit. I found that I could get my 5 points and eat a ton. LOL!! If you count calories you will have to track so 2 birds with one stone. I also like the idea of walking to each hometown. That sounds like fun!

Hello Sistas!

New job going well. Easy work and relaxed office, so not too bad.

I realized something today. I tend to eat without really tasting the food. I mean, I know I like something, but I really don't stop to savor it and think about it. In fact, I usually eat while I'm reading or working or watching tv. Going to fix that going forward!

I are while working (lol) just now so I'm going to clock out and go take a 40 min walk.

Will check in tonight!

Wow everyone is so busy! That is a great thing! Denise I remember YMCA and never being able to get on a machine so I gave up going.

Kat- glad you are moving along and getting stronger by the day.

Susan - Ugh! nose cold is the worst. Feel beter soon.

Anne- to tired to think for myself so I will say big amen to your post.

I am still falling asleep early in the evening when I get home. What is odd to me is that I feel refreshed when I wake up. Oh well, my body must need the rest. Didn't make it back to check in but yesterday I was off the rails 3/5 for daily totals.

Got up at 4:15 this morning, out the house at 5:00 and to the office by 6:00 and feeling a little less stressed. No walk this afternoon just to busy.

will have to wait on the sodium for later. so 4/5 so far for the day!

afternoon, 4:00 already time flies lately.

I got home from YMCA and son is home in bed with bad headache, this is the child that never wines or complains, so I know he is not well. So tending to him(even at 17 they need their mom) thank gosh........but I don't mind, he is easy to care for.

Y was good, got to try different machines so those animals are toned down a little. HEY JACOB"S LADDER omg I did it for 1 minute, it is all manual so I can see why they sweated. You need good shoes for sure on that thing.
Line Dancing was fun, I was the youngest in the class at 47 LOL too funny the 70 yr olds were shaking it better than I was, hips sure felt the shuffles and turns....... Day 2 so far so good.

Susan hope kids and you feel better soon, how many yrs? r u celebrating....

Cathy glad the job is good. and yes go walk....it is good for the soul

Kat coffee please, I still feel like I need one more. too late in day so will do a green tea.

Pam good job, funny how diff times in the year our bodies seem to need more sleep

Laurie I saved you for last. I know I am in no matter the majority decides. this is only a suggestion:

1-I love the idea of walking as a group to each City of those staying on.
so we take our weekly miles and see how far we get, and keep doing it till we get to each ones City..........

2- daily have to post accountability (that is huge to stay on track)
ate within calorie range(love Sherry's idea of this)
<3000 sodium
water
steps>3500 ( we up it from last challenge by 500)
fruits & veggies (5 servings per day)
******goal to hit minimum of 10 miles per week *********this is good.

these are only suggestions, Group or team is fine with me. But since our major regular participants are about 12 of us ( I believe, forgive me if I miscounted) then if you still want teams we could do 2 teams.

well I have to go son needs a cold bean bag change.

Busy at work today sorry!

I really enjoyed this challege, actually suprised me on my sodium (thought this would be cake, not realising that I tend to go high on sodium) and helped me eat more veggies - still working on fruit!

I like Denise's idea of two groups of reg posters and uping the steps. You can add Atlanta to the city list for me!

Hey All,

Laurie - I agree, 4 weeks go by real fast especially since I couldn't walk less exercise for 2 of them.. Ugh..

I like walking to everyone's home cities, I think we should count the active members whether teams or one, I'm good either way..

Hope to be more active this next month... Doc says a few weeks and I should be good... So hoping.


Today... 4/5 - no cardio as of yet.. tried bike yesterday, not going to happen.. But I do have a pretty hot pink wrap on the ankle... LOL...

Good Evening Sista's...

I will start with a HUGE & HEART FELT "THANK YOU" to all of you for welcoming me into your group of GREAT WOMEN!!! Every single one of you has welcomed me and made me feel like one of the girls. It has been a real joy getting to know each and every one of you. I feel we have become our own little family!!!


If you will have me.....
I would love to continue to be a part of your group and challenge's. I am game for what ever as well, solo or teams works also, just as long as were together!!! I too feel that with a group to commit to and hold each other accountable, we tend to stay on track, strive to do better every day, and work harder to achieve our personal goals.


I must confess...to each and every one of you...
I feel as if I have not as much support to all of you as I could/should have been, especially towards the end of this challenge, as I was in the beginning! There are no excuses...just the truth...that my Daughters surprise visit totally threw me off, and I just didn't seem to catch back up. I even had to put off some of my work out partners @ the gym, and that was a very hard thing for me to do! I had to focus on myself and get back to where I was before her arrival.....and doing so made me feel very selfish Sad
Catching up is never easy.....actually...I think it is nearly impossible!


With that all being said.....I will check in later with my totals for the day. I just stopped by to check notifications and was so moved, I had to write now!

Time for me to head for home on a Friday night...and it's March Madness so will be overdosing on college basketball even though my brackets are shot!

I'm in for anythihg & looking forward to next challenge...& I will NOT be a couch potato this weekend...was cleared to use the exercise bike so that's what I'm planning on for this weekend since the guys hog the tm!

Pam-My sleep patterns got so messed up when I was out with my back & they're still messed up...I now get up no later than 5:30am 7 can barely make ti to 9:00pm...& I'm a night owl!! Oh well, I get up early to do pt to loosen up in the am before work & then dive into coffee.

Ugh I only got 2 points today. H20 and steps. I had a Kleenex stuck up my right nostril all day!!! Thanks for the well wishes! denise I need you! LOL

This will be year #7. woot woot!!!

Sunshine no matter how big or small your support has been, it's the fact that we are all here together to motivate each other!!! So don't feel bad for any reason!!! Turn that frown upside down and SMILE!!!!

high 5 for me today and am still 180 calories under , so my apple and a smidge of pb is still allowed, in case I get the munchies, but I am not hungry so not going to unless I need it.

Thunder & Lightning Storm here in Tampa.
I just seen from the corner of my eye, the transformer box get struck by lightning, and we are out of power. It usually takes a while to get power back on, on base, as the power company has to go through clearance to get on base, let alone do the work. Thank God the hubby just replaced our generator fuel pump 2 days ago, so we have power, but no one else does.
