Good morning Sistas! Hope everybody is doing ok, it seems a little quiet here. Beautiful day here after a really hard downpour last night...will be a nice day to get in my walke (in between more predicted rain!) I got the biceps/rows in this am & will also (OMG!) get in the hip exxtensions as part of pt tonight.

Pam-hoping for the best with the eye doctor

Denise-I here you about those 3 women...held captive for 10 years & one of them now has a 6-year-old daughter by one of those 3 creeps. So glad they've been rescued.

Laurie-I found the tape measure (in only the 3rd place I looked!) & the coffee is ready.

points-4 (just cannot do push-ups, not allowed)

Work now, tty later.

Morning Teamies!!

Pam, sending good eye vibes to you!

Susan, glad you are getting some sunshine there. We are finally getting some here today too. It's going to 72 today, after a rainy, cold weekend.

Denise, it is so exciting that they are finally safe. I can't imagine how happy they are to be free again. Thank you, God!!

Laurie, I looked on the map and we will go through Spring to get to Hempstead, so let's just add the 40 to the 518 and it is 558 from my house to Pam's.

Kat, I have my tape measure, now if I will just do it. Very Happy

Cardio Y - 3554 steps
Strength Y - I did the workout on the link Laurie gave.
Track Y
Sodium Y
F & V - Y peaches, grapefruit, peppers, onions, salad x 2

High 5! Yippee!!

Going to measure.

Welcome to my hometown...Birmingham, Alabama! I have coffee, water, iced tea and lemonade made with splenda.

Birmingham was founded in 1871. It's major industries were iron and steel production. In the early 1900's the city's leaders wanted to advertise Birmingham to the world by entering an exhibit in the St. Louis World's Fair. And so the large iron statue of Vulcan was born. Vulcan Park and Museum is still a popular tourist attraction today. (see attached pic)

Birmingham is also home to the Alabama Theater with 2500 seats. It was built is 1927 and houses an ornate Mighty Wurlitzer Organ, one of only 25 organs of its type ever built. The theater has been the home of the Mickey Mouse Club and hosted the Miss Alabama Pageant for many years.

While you are here, I would like to take you to to the Historic Avondale District, which has lately been featured in many magazines. It is the home of our new whole food market called "Freshfully", which is directly across the street from The Avondale Brewery. Then we can go for a walk at Avondale Park.

I am posting some pics for you to see what my city is like. Thank you for coming!!

Afternoon Sassies, Points for yesterday 5 and steps 12,501. One of the trainers at the gym I go to posted a photo of her personal workout last Wed on Facebook and I wrote it down to do last Thursday but the weather was bad so I didn't go to the gym. I did her workout today and it was a great one. I told her she should post her personal workouts on facebook more often cause I'm always looking for other ideas.
Everyday above ground is a great day remember that--Pitbull from the song Time of my Life.

Evening Sistas! Boy, has the weather changed in the last hour. I went out at 4pm for a walk & it was sunny & warming up. I just came back from City Hall at 5:15pm & it is at least 15 degrees cooler, windy & clouding up again; looks like we might get more rain...YEAH, course if we do it will be on my way home!
May have over-walked today with that 2nd trip to City Hall, but feel good...Monica's gonna work my butt off! Oh well, I love it & then home to watch The Voice & vote...last night was pretty good, except for a couple of choices were wrong for them IMHO. THINK I finally got the bugs worked out with this dang call phone...the fix works here at work for getting the internet back, just hope it works at home!

Sherry-Avondale sounds like fun; can't wait to get there!

Laurie-yes, I still remind myself that I'm still in recovery & need to have patience.

Will post numbers tomorrow.

Have a great The Voice & vote!
