I was very hesitant on joining this challenge. Then I thought - hey - I need to become consistent with running before we start running again outside for Karate in the spring. This challenge may my best way to do achieve that. But, I really need some support, advice and a really good buddy for checking in on our progress. Anyone on the team want to be my accountable buddy for this challenge? I'm really new to running in the sense that I started running for Karate last spring and about my fastest time is 11.5 min / mile. With Exercise induced Ashama, my Sensei doesn't push me to get faster - he just wants me to finish and not walk so much. I want to get faster though. My last run was over 13 min / mile this month.

I have no idea if I am on your team or not, just wanted to say Hi, because I have asthma too. Dr just told me it was either called cold or excersise induced. I only really notice when it is cold outside, below 10 degree C. That is a problem for me as average temperatures now are - 3 degrees C! But my inhaler works wonders, and I am ready to start pushing myself again and get back into running. Ran loads this summer, followed the C25K program for a while then just intervals for the rest of the summer. I really miss it, and to think I hated running when I started!

I hope I can deal with running in the cold, will probably have to have an extended warmup but I am ok with that.

Hi I'm on the yellow team and feeling a little nervous about tomorrow. I havent run since I was a kid. I have downloaded a podcast for C25K which uses a very motivational young lady who tells you when to walk and when to run(saves you checking your watch constantly) and some upbeat music to keep you going. I'd be happy to be a buddy for the yellow team. Good Luck everyone!
