Go gradually

Guidelines:
Work on lowering your average caloric intake, not your daily one. We all have days where eat a lot out with friends, or just feel hungry. It's not those days we should be focusing on but the overall effect. Consider your monthly average (easily found on this website if you're keeping track of your calories) and work on lowering that each month. For example, in July I averaged about 1750 kcals a day, August my goal will be 1700 - assuming I make that, Sept will be 1650 and Oct will be 1600.

Love yourself

Guidelines:
If you're like me, you occasionally have a tough time taking compliments. Stop it. Learn to say thank you and leave it at that. Stand up straighter. Even if you are trying to lose weight, you are still an amazing person. Find one different thing about yourself every day that you love and remind yourself of it.
