Been practicing the no bread thing for a week in preperation of this challenge. Not so bad so far. Going gluten free as close to possible and hope to lose a bunch of weight. Gave up beer also. That I am sure is my biggest diet no no.

I have too...just only for a couple days. Yesterday the family fixed biscuits with breakfast and I turned it down! lol. Then after church they went to Burger King! I really want to get away from fast food so I just had a cup of water lol.

I just started today. I usually eat PB&J at work due to no electric there. Instead today I bought sliced apple with peanut butter, a pickle, and baby carrots with fat free ranch. Best I could do till I find foods that will keep in the warmth.

I have been on no bread for a while now and I must say that it is a fantastic feel (of success). And, I proudly decline any sandwich offer from colleagues at work (office culture and all). My challenge is to stay away from any food items that contain flour!!!! PANIC!!
Please Lord, help me through this journey.....

A victory is victory large or small. Congrats

There are temptations at every corner at work for me. I don't even go in the break room any more. I have family coming this weekend and that will be my big test.

Survived the weekend unscathed. Even with guests I made it work. Don't miss the bread and I even turned down ice cream.

I've noticed since cutting out the bread that my calorie intake has dropped significantly. This is awesome!!! I've dropped 5 pounds this week alone!

I've not tried to "replace" the bread in any way, just been making different choices. However, I did make spaghetti this week and noticed that I was terribly bloated and sluggish even into the next day.

I wish there was a way I could go completely gluten free and my family NOT NOTICE that I've changed ingredients in their favorite foods. Any suggestions?

I tried the gluten free pasta made from flax and rice. Interesting texture but I was non plus. There are some really good whole wheat pasta that we have had before that didn't make us feel bloated and I think that it was because it was not processed to death.
