We quickly approach our first named storm of the Voyage and she goes by the name of "Mothers day"

Take heed to batten down your hatches least ye be inviting in a deluge.

Each of us battle individual squalls in the name of birthdays, anniversary and a myriad of other get togathers... but there are defined marked gales on the horizon that tend to foul our lines.

Mothers day is one of those and although not potentially as dangerous as say Thanksgiving or Supper bowl Sunday has still managed to derail crews resolve.

So be warned to mind your duties so there be no cheating nor no hiding this day. If it passes yer lips it gets recorded plain and simple. It's fer your own good.

Carry On

My daughter is 500 miles away and my son will be working tomorrow, mother's day will be a breeze for me, but my thoughts will be with the rest of you through this storm. I wish you luck with your monsters and may you prevail. Smile

I started my weight loss journey on January 10, 2012 - and this is what I have accomplished so far:

Your FIRSTMATE was experiencing some technical difficulties this weekend. AND I did indulge on Saturday and Sunday. Sad.
I did not over indulge - does that count?

My first storm was actually last weekend when we decided to against any further treatments for my 10 year old dog with cancer. I was a total mess knowing we'd be losing her soon. I over ate and withdrew from everyone except my husband. I'm at peace with things now and doing much better. Somehow, I managed to still lose a little weigh last week. A little proud of myself for that. Smile

My first storm was my brother's graduation celebration for his Master's Degree. HUGE family party, so much delicious food, and of course I had to sample a bit of everything! And then the leftovers, oh the leftovers were my downfall.

QuiltedHeart, I would give you a hug if I could. I know how hard it is to lose a pet that has been in your life for so long, especially when you are the one who is control of their "fate". It really takes a heavy toll on you, so you should be extremely proud of yourself for losing any weight!

I think you call me … Sexy.

Your Captain created a bit of his own Squall by going on another fishing trip. Never a good thing when 4 mates get together for a bit of fishing..Surprised

Its going to take me an hour to log in the past 5 days worth of , including the groceries I consumed. But it will all be there for all to see and scold me fer.
