I started this being really confident, I cut out honey in my tea / coffee (that's a big part of my days) and was actually eating 3 meals a day, which never happens. However, I've had a stressful week at school, friends visiting, a birthday party and I've slipped up by drinking a lot of wine, skipping meals then eating late at night. How do I get back on track? Also, I find that I do all day but as soon as I come home after 7, it is a real challenge not to eat really heavily.

hey, don't be to hard on yourself. the most important thing that's going to help you in this challenge, is finding a routine that will work for you!! write it out if it'll help, and start a fresh on Monday!! here's my routine (if it'll help)
Monday-Friday, breakfast between 8-10am with coffee and 2 cups green tea before lunch. 12-1pm lunch with plenty of high juice. a snack bar/fruit if peckish and plenty of high juice/water till dinner. 6pm(ish) dinner, cup of green tea. nothing to eat after 7pm, plenty of high juice/water. an options hot choc before bed (I cant sleep without one, and it's only 40calories Wink )
Sat-Sun 5am, latte
7am breakfast, 2 cups of green tea
try to drink as much water as I can
10-12pm lunch
try to drink as much water as I can. a snack bar/fruit if peckish before dinner
5-6 dinner, green tea. nothing to eat after 7pm, hot choc before bed
this is how my routine works as I have 2small children (so we have all our evening meals together as a family) and I work long weekend shifts at work (5am-3pm usually). I get my exercise in during the week nights after my fiance get's home from work (jogging, yoga, and starting legs bums and tums group on Monday). you just need to figure out what will work for you, if I can help I will. good luck Very Happy

Thanks so much, this was helpful. I will try to write out a routine and stick to it for the rest of the week. Are you specific about what you eat or how much?

good, I'm glad that your able to use this too, and hopefully it'll work out great for you!!
I use the app on my phone to keep a record on what I'm eating and exercise. food wise, this is my routine
Mon-Fri
breakfast - special k, 1 cup of coffee (milk no sugar) 2 cups of green tea with lemon, and water/high juice till lunch.
lunch - weight watchers soup, wholemeal pitta bread (for dunking) special k cracker crisps, banana, special k or go ahead bar type thing (sweet healthy bar thing) plenty of water/high juice till dinner. if peckish, a piece of fruit or another healthy bar between lunch and dinner.
dinner - meat (usually chicken or pork something) big salad (my salad rocks lol!! it's leaves, spring onions, cucumber, cherry toms, apple, satsuma, red grapes and plain cashew nuts with a tiny drizzle of less fat honey and mustard dressing) or big portion of veggies, and baked sweet potato. or fresh meat pasta with dolmio carbonara sauce and a side salad. or rosemary coloney's pork and pepper stir fry (marinade - 4tablespoons honey, 4tablespoons soy sauce, 2 crushed garlic cloves, 1 sliced red chilli. cut pork -we use loins- into 1cm width strips and leave in marinade over night for best results.
cooking, separate marinade from pork. heat wok and brown off pork. then put in sliced peppers -1 yellow, 1 red- and sliced spring onions -12- and add marinade. we share this between 2 of us)
basically just stay away from chips, roasties, ect. and have a low fat yoghurt after and a cup of lemon green tea. again, water/high juice for the evening and an options hot choc before bed Very Happy
my biggest challenge is the junk snacking and evening eating, but I'm managing to stay positive with the lbs coming down each week and staying away!! I'm just over a day from doing this for 5weeks (had the odd cupcake or muffin though lol) and in 4weeks I've lost 8lbs, so breaking my habit and improving my eating is paying off (I still lost a few lbs one week with no exercise)

here we go again!!

good, I'm glad you've gotten something out of it, and hopefully you'll start getting the results you want with a routine that works for you.
I do have a kind of set routine.
breakfast -bowl of special k, or fresh fruit salad and Greek yoghurt, or plain porridge. 1 coffee with milk no sugar. 2 lemon green tea
lunch -soup (weight watchers) wholemeal pitta bread (for dunking) banana, special k cracker crisps and a healthier option bar (special k, go ahead, that kind of thing)
snack (if needed) -fruit or healthier option bar
dinner - meat (chicken or pork loin usually) lots of salad or veggies, baked sweet potato. or fresh meat pasta, dolmio carbonara sauce with lots of salad. or stir fry, or a big salad with chicken and bacon. basically, just stay away from chips, roasties, anything deep fried, white bread, pastries, all that jazz!! low fat yoghurt and lemon green tea after.
plenty of water/high juice throughout the day. try not to eat in the evening. I have an options hot choc before bed too! Very Happy
