On the front page of this challenge it says to lose two lbs a week you should reduce your calorie intake by 600 calories. Does this actually mean your intake or just that your net should be -600? I ask because I can manage to make my net -600 with excercise but honestly cant imagine only taking in 1200 calories a day.

Your net I believe. However, to do two pounds a week with no exercise would be tough since you would have to eat only 1200 a day. Don't go any lower, any dietitian will tell you to stay above 1200. That is as low as you can go. One pound is 3500 calories, so actually your net needs to be -1000 calories per day to lose 2 pounds a week. -500 is pretty easy, but -1000 will take some determination. It will take both exercise and good eating. Someone correct me on this if I'm wrong, but that's what I think it is.

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna have to try a little harder to get to that -1000. The most I've done this week was -801. Today I dont even know because I didnt have my scale with me for dinner. Guess I'll try again tomorrow!
