this one is tough. but i want everyone to try their best! try not to eat any candy or deserts and no soda either. im only going to do this challenge for 2 weeks because i know that once you do it, youll realize that theres not really that much to miss, and you will get even better results. and i hope you continue it even after its over for the challenge. because you can get your "sweets" from fruits. who needs candy?? just try this. if you need help then go out and buy some fresh fruits and when you get a sweet tooth, eat the fruits instead of junk. youll be so proud of yourself if you do this. and like i said, you wont even miss it after a little while. it will be tough at first, but i know you can do it! and please, even after its over for the challenge, keep it up. i want you to have faith in yourself as well, thats why im not keeping this one going for too long. good luck everyone!

Eat slowly. Make sure you pay attention to each bite. A big mistake everyone makes is they don't pay attention to when their stomach is telling them they are full. Remember, it takes your stomach 20 minutes to tell your brain it's full. Imagine how much extra food you could eat that you don't even need if you don't pay any attention. Try to eat without any distractions at first. (That means don't sit in front of the tv!!!) Then when you think you know exactly when to cut yourself off, challenge yourself by adding distractions gradually. That way, it comes naturally to you to just stop eating when you are truly full. Don't forget that eating slowly is key! chew, chew, chew! :)

My biggest challenge yet! This is probably the toughest for a lot of people, believe it or not! If you don't love yourself, and believe in yourself, it's hard for anyone else to believe in you too. You MUST MUST MUST KNOW that you can do this. And I promise you that you CAN! I don't care what anyone says, this IS possible. Trust yourself. You are the only person in this whole wide world that knows what you are capable of doing. So that gives NO ONE else the right to tell you any differently!!! LOVE YOURSELF!

I know if you're anything like me, you have a tendancy to eat when you're bored. Some eat because they are depressed. When you feel the urge to eat and you know you really shouldn't, find something distracting that will keep you busy til you get your mind off of food. I know it sounds childish, but I even bought myself a coloring book for those moments. Sometimes I take my dog outside for a while and run around a play with her. Whatever you need to do. If you can distract yourself with some sort of exercise, that would obviously be best but if you need to rest, get a puzzle book or a book to read or something for brain food. :) lol. Eventually, hopefully, you will naturally turn to something else besides food when you get bored or upset!!!

Ah, the number 5! Listen, I know we would all rather watch tv, than exercise. Why not do both and never miss your favorite shows?! We all hate commercials... so skip them. I challenge you to exercise during commercials! Kick back and relax to watch your shows, but when a commercial comes on, hit the floor! Do some jumping jacks, sit ups, push ups, dance a jig ... whatever. Just get up and move! It gives you more extra exercise a day than you might realize!

please please please dont try the starvation diet thing. it doesnt work promise. one of two things will happen if you do:
1. you will starve yourself for a while and then when you do try to eat, your body will turn it into fat because it doesnt know when you will give it food again.
or
2. you will starve yourself, it will get out of control and you will end up getting sick, being put in the hospital, and worse case, die
so please dont do it. lots of people die all of the time from it. it is in no way safe or sensible. i know from experience. my own mother had two forms of anorexia right before she was pregnant with me and now she has a big overgrown muscle in her stomach that they cant do anything about and it causes her back problems among other things. im sorry to write all of this, but i am very passionate about it. if you make every dieting mistake in the world, please dont make this one. please.
