On the NowLoss.com site it says if you need something other than water to drink during your fast period, then it wouldn't matter if you had a black tea or coffee as long as you don't have milk or sugar in it and he said to keep away from shop sachet coffee's as they have extra sweetners and/or extra calories which defeat the purpose of a fast. He also said to up your fasting period according to your own body and if you start to feel heady or unwell don't feel bad about having something if you need it, but you can redeem yourself by sticking to fluids and keeping the calories as low as possible so that a step back doesn't turn into turning around and running in the opposite direction. Thanks again for adding this btw, I can feel it working already. Im looking forward to jumping on the scales on Saturday. But even better, I can visibly see my tummy getting flatter. And now I wholeheartedly believe I'm going to make it to my goal real soon!
