I enjoy outdoor exercise because of tha variety of stimuli! No two outdoor exercise sessions have ever been the same. I can mix up my walking routes, watch the progress of my neighbors' gardens, surprise the wild critters along the road, or check out the farmers' fields near our subdivision. Outdoor exercise wakes up all five (5) senses!

I agree completely. I can't stick to an inside excercise routine, but I am really looking forward to the outside hiking I plan on doing this summer and I am really excited about it. There is nothing like fresh air and sunshine to get you revved up.

I love exercise in or out, but outside I have more options with my kids. They can ride their bike while I jog/walk. We can walk, swim, play together. We are trying a lot of summer swimming and I am addicted to walking so we take lots of walks.

I've heard that you burn more calories when you are outside playing because you are more engrossed in your changing surroundings. Your eyes and ears and other senses are getting more stimulation, so you don't notice that you are riding father, running faster, swinging higher!

And when you're outside, you can stop for ice cream and not feel guilty!

They're up in your face, they don't think you belong
Man, you got it, you got it goin' on
What breaks the weak just makes you strong
You got game, baby bring it on, bring it on
