Weeks 1 to 9

Increase your steps by 500 a day each week. You will hit your goal in no time.

The goal is to walk 5,000 steps or more each day. Anything that is less than 10 steps in a row doesn't count. Be sure to check in each week with you Average steps. at 5,000 your average would just that. Add the steps each day and divide by the number of days you are tracing. So lets say in a typical week you walk Sun, 3,400 Monday- Friday 5,000 each day and Saturday 7,300 that would be a total of 35,700 steps for the week. Now you divide that by 7 days to get your average and you have 5,100 average steps. On days you didn't make 5,000 figure out how to add just 500 more steps for the next week, then again the following week, etc.You will be amazed at how easy it is to add just a measly 500 steps.(Walk in place at commercials, Park a little farther from the store, Wander the clothing isles at Wal-Mart, Walk the Mall and window shop, Pace while on the phone, Walk around your car one time each time you go to get in in *checking your tires as you go*) Good Luck!I know You can do this!

We are heading into day 2
Yesterday, I got 4300 steps in. It's 5:30 in IL and I have 1700 steps to reach my goal. Taking the dogs for a walk in our park will help.
