Challenge Forum: Fun Exercise Ideas?

I know that sometimes the thought of exercising is about as appealing as eating a banana peel. So I thought we could encourage each other by giving some creative ideas for strengthening and exercising our abs.

My first idea?

DANCING!

Even if you are just dancing around your room where no one can see you. Try it. You might be suprised at how sore you can be the next morning.

Personally, I try to do 30-45 minutes of dancing 3 times a week. I have a Wii and play "Just Dance". This game is great! It's fun, you can sing along to it, and it is a major workout. It even has a workout section with songs and dances specifically designed to workout to.

If you don't have a Wii or other games that you can workout to, you could always try a workout video. There are TONS of workout DVDs you can try. Or be adventurous...go to a garage sale in your neighborhood and look through their old VHS tapes...you might get lucky and find a really old workout video!

If all else fails, just turn your radio on and start moving around. Basically any rythmic movement is going to work your abs and other muscles.

GET MOVING!!

I am excited to go home and play Just Dance tonight Smile I love that it keeps track of sweat points for you! My roommate and I take turns and alternate dancing and weight sets. Time flies!

@karabeth: time really does fly! I think it's one of the most fun ways you could exercise! Check out the group I created called "Just Dance Crew"!
