I'm Lindsay, 26 years young. I'm at a transition point in my life, starting a new job, moving to a different part of the country and trying to become the person I want to be. Over the past 4 years, I've lived in Ohio, California, Alabama, North Dakota, New Mexico, Texas and Colorado. Now that I'm moving again, I think this is the perfect opportunity to get motivated and figure out a routine that works for me. I'm determined to get back into the 130-140s and get that college/high school body back!

Awesome Lindsey! I know it is hard moving all the time! I used to be a military spouse and my weight would always fluctuate around moves. Welcome to this challenge and the lifestyle change!!! We will learn new tips and tricks over the next 10 weeks to make it through no matter what life throws our way!

My name is Tina and I am 38 years old. My #1 goal is to be healthy. Back in late 2009/early 2010 I did the Jenny Craig diet and I lost 20 pounds. The diet is really good but the food is just too expensive. I met my now husband in March 2010 and I was a size 10/12. Today I am a size 14/16 and I don't like it. I am now doing the Atkins Diet and so far so good. In addition to getting healthier, I want to look in my clothes again. I am really looking forward to starting this challenge. Smile

Hi..My name is Dorothy.. I have been doing this lifestyle/diet thing since Oct 1st and have lost 39 pounds so far.. Very Happy I'm currently doing the Atkins Diet - this is the diet that works for me. I work out 5 to 7 days a week now (recumbent/stationary bike) this challenge will allow me to be accountable for my daily workout.
My goal is to eventually get to 155 but to actually get to 150 will give me some room.. I look forward to doing this challenge with you all.. Good luck to all of us! Very Happy Wink
Monday here we come!

EDITED: As of Monday 2/18.. I weighed in at 171.2 my ticker below isn't working.. Sent a couple messages when I got the error message but no response yet..

I'm Laura. I'm 30, a mother of 4 and I'm sick of hearing I look good for having 4 kids. I want to look good period! I am doing a clean eating life style mixed with eat right for your blood type. I have done it in the past and I feel great no bloating, no starving. Just healthy! I know I can do it!!! Good luck to you guys!

I'm Rachel. I am realizing that, the older I get the less self-control I have with food. I need to whip these bad habits into shape, get back into working out like I used to, and want to have a svelte figure to maintain. Tonight, I celebrated my last night of terrible habits with a menu of my favorite foods - starting tomorrow morning, I want to not care about cookies because seeing the fat melt off my hips is too good!

Hi! My name is Vanessa, and I'm aiming to shed the last 37 pounds of my goal weight of 125. I turn 30 in April, and I want this to be my birthday gift to myself. New decade, new me! I'm lucky enough to have a gym where I work, so I try to work out every day at lunch, for approximately 40-50 minutes. I alternate between cardio (I allow myself to watch 1 episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey as an incentive- eps are 40 minutes long), weights, and yoga. I began a no carb-hi protein diet two weeks ago, and I've lost 10 pounds already...best of all, this diet allows me 1 full day of cheating, and 1 glass of wine per evening. Perfect diet? I think so...!

Hey! My name is Jessie. I am 26 years old. For the past eight years, I have been eating poorly, eating larger portions, and not exercising at all; and all the while, gaining too much weight. I am in the beginning stages of my weight loss journey (I have already lost 28 pounds). What I want to get out of this challenge is help and motivation to further my weight loss by adding in exercise. I am not consistent with my exercising and I wish to improve that during this challenge. Good luck to everyone!

Hello, My name is Lisa. I just turned 33. I am a single mom of 3 so not much "me" time. I have verry little self control and no self motavation. I am aiming to loose 50lbs. I want to be happy in my body again. I want to be able to keep up with my kids and be active. All this extra weight makes it hard. I hope that joing this group will give me the boost I need.

Hi all. My name is Michelle and I'm 28. I'm looking to get back into shape like I was at the end of my college years, especially as my 10 year hs reunion is this summer! I would say that my challenges are drinking enough water everyday and exercising enough. Also, my boyfriend and I are in transition to becoming vegan for various reasons.
Here we go! This challenge will be nice to have as accountability Smile

Hi, I will be turning 60 in November, and I am going to lose 30 lbs. by then. I am gluten intolerate and must stay away from wheat, bran, oats, and rye. I gained a lot of weight since menopause and find it almost impossible to lose lbs. Hope this challange will motivate me to increase my physical activity and lower my food intake. I am married to an Italian and needless to say it is mangia, mangia (eat, eat) at my house. DH never gains weight, I do for the both of us! LOL!!

I am in my 30's and a sedentary lifestyle for the past many years has caused me to gain A LOT of weight. I AM GOING TO LOSE 34 lbs and then reassess from that point if that weight is where I need to be or if I need to lose more weight.
My biggest issue is food. I can usually make myself exercise and get that to a point where it's routine, but my eating throws me off, then not losing weight or gaining weight discourages me, then it all falls apart.
I really hope that this challenge and the inspiration from everyone facing the same battle will help me stay on track this time.
I can do more than I think I can because I have Christ who strengthens me.
Mini-targets:
- under 170 lbs
- under 165 lbs
- under 160 lbs
- under 155 lbs
- under 150 lbs
- under 145 lbs

Hey all,

It's great to see a friendly challenge that has many forum posts before it has even started Smile. I'm 35 and after gaining weight last year I made a decision to try and get the extra weight off. Even though I've lost some of the weight, I soon discovered that it doesn't always come of in the places that you'd hoped. I'm an apple shape all the way! Fitness is definitely an issue for me, and I'm hoping to increase my activity level, and lose some kilos while I'm at it.
