How'd you finish Day 1? Today -
No scale! This morning the evil thing was still in the bathroom and I really really wanted to step on it, but I put it in the linen closet instead.
No Caseys! Made breakfast at home.
Water got more than 64 in yesterday and I'm 20 in today.
Calories. I blew this yesterday. Got home from work and we went to hubby's Grandmas to cut bushes, then he and kids wanted pizza and I thought I could eat one piece. . .rats at 3 then had horrible stomach cramps starting about 4 this morning, darn pizza!
Exercise. Yesterday I did 2 30 minute workouts and yard work. Today I slept in because I went to bed late, hopefully I'll get one in tonight, but with PreK screening I may run out of time.

My scale was taunting me this morning. I think I'm going to hide it tonight even though hubby will object. I stayed within the calorie range even though I made the most out of the upper limit of calories. I even logged my 1/4 of a bagel this morning. Every bite is logged. It has to be.. I'm too neurotic and I'm convinced the scale is going up because I can't see it! Maybe that's not neurotic.. maybe that's pessimistic. Neurotic pessimism?

Water I did ok.. I got the 64 in of water then switched to brewed tea. Brewed tea is water.. it just tastes better. So technically I got more than 64 in.

Exercise.. not so much. Little man was a crank butt, didn’t take an afternoon nap. Hubby was in the field after chores and the 9 yr old was convinced the little ones head was about to start spinning around so it was all him and me while everyone else hid. Bunch of wimps! The good news is the little man thinks throwing my hands up and yelling with him or running away yelling ahhhhhh he’s coming! Is a fun game. Yes.. the neighbors can probably hear us yelling and probably think we’re insane. There is no volume control in our home.

My bad habit.. I’m modifying into baby steps. I will only curse in the car the first week. I will only curse 5 times in the car the second week. I will only curse 2 times the third week. Then I only get 1.. because I need one for the jack wagon that cuts me off, doesn’t use his signal, and is driving an overpriced foreign piece that costs more than I make all year and almost side swipes me to get into the turning lane at the last freakin minute. Sure he’s had 3 miles to get over. But there was a line of cars going slow that we’ve all been in day after day. He’s special. He shouldn’t have to wait in bumper to bumper traffic!.. No road rage here. Nope.. none.

I think I'm going to go for a walk over lunch.. I need some relaxing zen time. lol

I usually forget about the scale, but now that I've given it up I wanted to weigh this morning. As if I'd magically lost anything from yesterday to today. I did better yesterday than I thought because I wanted to snack all night, but we didn't have much to snack on. I got my workout in this morning, so that's a good start for today.

Water is another story, I've had about 12 oz. so far today and I had maybe 60 oz. yesterday, so I need to work on the water. I was going to have a soda today at lunch, but I'll try to change that to a tea or water.

I did take my measurements this morning, so we'll see if those change by the end of the month. I am usually out this time of year doing yard work in the evenings and on the weekends, but yesterday we had snow, yuck, and through the weekend is supposed to be cold. So, no extra calorie burn from yardwork yet. Sigh...
Goals for 2018:
Do 20 consecutive push-ups
Use 10 lb. weights for a whole workout
Run 1 mile without stopping DONE!!
Run 2 miles without stopping
Cut running time down 10 seconds
Get stronger physically and mentally

The main reason I joined this challenge is to detox from the bathroom scale but I never thought I would have withdrawal symptoms! I wouldn't be surprised if I start dreaming about the dang thing. I have hidden both....yes, I have two scales. Doesn't everyone? In case the first one doesn't give you the weight it's supposed to?? lol. It's an addiction, what can I say? I miss my morning habit and am very glad I hid the scales waaay back in the closet where I will need to risk life and limb to get it out.

As for my bad habit.....not sure about that one. Snacking late at night is fun. Maybe I'll choose that bad habit to eating after 8:00PM. Yes, I think that's it.

64oz of water is not a problem. Exercise also done (reluctantly, I might add) and the 1500 calorie cap....well, I failed there miserably yesterday. Today is another day....

I walked for a whole hour today and it's only 2pm! Now I wish I was wearing my bodymedia counter so I could tell how many calories I burned. Poop.

I snuck a peek at the scale this's my morning habit. I'm afraid that if I didn't it would go up but it was slightly down. I'll try not to look tomorrow. I usually weigh myself first thing in the morning and then at night just before bed. I think I have a problem with the scale and I need to hide it too!

I'm usually pretty good about cursing but it does slip out occasionally. I'll have to think about what bad habit I have.

I need to drink more water. I think I got 40oz in yesterday plus a cup of coffee and a mug of tea and my usual milk with Nesquik in at night. So that's 64 oz of fluids...

Exercise was no problem...25 minutes of running at lunchtime and some stretching and then lunges, squats, pushups and crunches. We also went over to my parent's farm last night and helped with the chores plus messed around with some heifers trying to get their belts off. And because it was a late night at the farm, we ended up going out for fast food which put me over the 1500 calories. Hopefully today will go better in the calorie department.

Sounds like day 1 was pretty good for everyone!

@Mokakiss - 2 scales!!! I would be even crazier if I tried to have a relationship with 2 scales. How would I ever know which one is the liar? lol

@Aggie - I totally understand the late night fast food stop. There are only so many hours in a day!

@DFW - Awesome job getting the hour walk in. I have a pedometer that I always forget to put on. It's bouncing around in the bottom of my purse.

@Mars - Snow?!?!? Yuck!! However it has been beautiful and mid 70's here all week, but tomorrow the high is only 54, what? why? isn't spring here?

Scale: Nope
Water: Yep - 100 oz (I try to drink 1/2 my weight in oz)
Exercise: Active but nothing structured
Habit: Did not begin any sentences with 'I'm Afraid'
Calories: nearly 2000 but I'd already set that as my goal for May so I may have exceeded the challenge limit but not my own.
I'm not losing WEIGHT. I'm converting FAT to MUSCLE to be healthier.
