Atkins Followers for 2012 Unite!!

This is the second time I tried using psyllium husk to bulk up on fiber and became derailed. First doing Raw (to go from 20g to 30g) and now on Atkins (preemptive strike). I was losing weight both times until I added the psyllium husk. As soon as I add psyllium (with adequate water) my weight stalls and my belly doubles in size. It takes 4-5 days to get back to normal.

Even though I cannot find anything but good things about psyllium on the net, I think 2 times is enough for me to realize maybe psyllium husk and I are not compatible. I'd appreciate any advice or others' negative experience with psyllium, because I'm ready to just forget about fiber until it becomes a problem, given my frustrating experiences.

I'm also taking this natural laxitive and never thought it could contribute to a weight stall..... you've given me something to think about.
