Guidelines:
The first step is to determine how much water to drink. Take your weight and divide it in half. Then drink that many ounces of water EVERY day. A 300 lb person would drink 150 ounces of water a day.

If it's after 8, put down your plate!

Guidelines:
No more eating after 8 PM. Eating at night interferes with our body's ability to digest, process and metabolize our daily calories. Instead of reaching for food to put in your mouth, reach for a glass of water or do a little exercise or pick up a hobby such as scrapbooking that involves the use of your hands and your brain. Likely, you are hungry because you are bored.

Start a food journal.

Guidelines:
"If you bite it, write it." Whether you go out and buy a cheap notebook or put your crafting skills to use to create a food journal or you decide to keep track electronically, we need to track our food intake everyday. It is amazing how much I eat and don't realize it when I'm not held accountable by forcing myself to write it down.

Exercise two hours total this week.

Guidelines:
Exercise can be anything from cleaning your house to running a marathon. The two hours of exercise can be done all at once or in increments of at least ten minutes. It is a free-for-all. Just make sure to include it in your healthy living journal.
