Challenge Forum: balancing calories to fuel activity

No problem getting the exercise in. Having trouble choking down the water. But trying. Really trying to limit calories, but having trouble balancing the right amount of calories to fuel activity. I have been at about 1600 per day and trying to cut back for this challenge. Any suggestions out there? All in all, good day one for the challenge.

It's good if you have oatmeal and fruits that are very watery or juicy, like apples and grapefruit, this keeps you feeling full, and you can add different toppings to oatmeal.
Get lots of fiber and complex carbs (whole grain carbs) in the morning time have a single serving of carbs at lunch time and compliment your meals with protein shakes. The shakes have helped curb my apetite so much, plus the fiber too. I try to have more calories during the day and have my last meal be the lightest. Plus I never workout without eating something first. I wait an hour (at least) and then do my exercise.

Hope this helps in any way. 1600 cal is pretty good!
