Where I feel that this challenge is lacking specific direction I am still going to try this 10 week challenge for myself. The reason I feel that it is lacking specific direction is bc there are no specific directions or exercise suggestions.
I feel that the mini challenges should be specific general exercises to burn fat on a 10week block. The mini challenges are just general specific guidelines that we all should follow, bc in all reality that is all they are anyway, and its something we all should be doing anyway. And these things alone will not allow us to reach our goals. Exercise is vital to losing weight. And it must be High intensity exercises to be effective.
I feel that the mini challenges should be more exercise oriented. They should tell us what we need to be doing. As far as exercise. Usually when people join these things they don't know what to do, and have to be told...
Another thing, I know that not all people need to lose body fat, but considering the ideology behind this challenge I am sure it is safe to say that we are all here for that reason. (but that being said, generally if a person needs to lose 50lbs, its more than likely body fat that needs to be lost).
Anyway, shouldn't this program teach people how to do different variations of circuit training, and how to begin the stages of cardio interval training; which focuses on fat burning?
I'm just curious. I know a bit about training and was just curious if there was anyone that I might suggest this too? BC in all reality...we can log our food, count our calories, be accountable to the daily diary, and all the mini challenges we want, but if they don't know what to do as far as specific this really gonna help?
I haven't said this to be mean to anyone...I am asking this out of pure curiosity and was wondering if anyone else felt the same way?Wink
Thanks! Smile

If you talk to any health professional, they will agree with you that exercise is important to a healthy lifestyle, but that 70-80% of weightloss is based on diet and calorie intake. Particularly in the beginning as your body adjusts to the new method of eating, you will detox and loose an average of 5-8 lbs in the first week. Five lbs is agressive, so don't get down on yourself if that is not possible based on the diet you are chosing. Keep in mind that if you are cutting carbs, you also need to be careful with the exercise, because you can seriously damage your muscles. Let your body acclimate to the new calorie intake before you push yourself to exercise vigoriously. I think the challenge is more of a "support system." The rest of the site has tons of information on diets and exercise to use as resources.

I receive what you have shared Engie, but Beach Fit, I felt that way when I read the terms of the challenge. I kept saying, "That's it!" Waiting for an addendum to what was required. I am not a fitness or nutritional expert and don't profess to knowing much, but I didn't feel the "Challenge" to it because I already do what's listed...EXCEPT journaling meals. Which I cannot stand! But, that's MY challenge.
