Hi sgodrea,
I am battling a sinus infection and bronchitis, but I am so ready to get going. It is a beautiful day outside for UpNorth Minnesota and I am ready to get out there. I'm with ya. I am on Atkins and doing great now. I will get walking for 30 mintues to start.

Good job guys! I got back on my Tae Bo training. Started at 30 min ysterday (day one) and 40 today. I should have it back up to an hour fairly soon. Today's calories are on track to do really well, too.

Tae Bo is a set of aerobic DVD's. Good hard workout, in half hour or hour chunks.

I have the set of five discs where he has the red weight stick thing, which I rotate through, as well as the power band one (which I have no power bands for, lol) and one of the boot camps. I also just got my hands on the original VHS tapes, and converted them to DVD, so I have the Beginner and Advanced ones, with the strobe lights and craziness, as well as the instructional tape from that one. We also have a crapload of dance aerobics DVDs that my wife has gotten, that I am WAY not coordinated enough to do.

I am thinking about doing my 5k again today. It's a mix of walking and jogging, but it is on hills. I want to see if I can do under an hour for the whole circuit this time.

Hey hmstix, how did it go on your 5 k? I did start jogging...I really dont like it but I do 30 minutes every day I walk 5 houses and then I jog 5 houses it helps a lot. Today I went hiking for 4 hours it was a blast. I'm planning to go a trip to Mount Washington in a month I hope I will be in enough shape to do it. I wish you all the best.

Today's version of the 5k was 51 minutes in my crazily hilled neighborhood. 33 minutes of jogging, 18 of walking, in different spurts. The goal is to get it to all jogging, then to start chipping away at that time. I am only doing it max 3 times a week right now, since it's kind of rough on my body. I'm not exactly a light weight, or else I wouldn't be here. Wink But it will get better.
