so far I have lost a little over 11 lbs in just under 3 weeks.

I cheat on weekends but if I cut that out, I'd probably lose faster.

Is this healthy?

I have 38-45 more lbs to lose.

This challenge is really going to be great and almost put me at my goal weight!

If you are "cheating" on weekends you are only hindering yourself. Are you just dieting or changing your lifestyle eating? If you plan your eating you can be a more relaxed in your eating on weekends. It sound's like that's what you're doing but feeling a bit guilty. If you are splurging and totally undoing all your hard work from during the week, you are just yo-yoing which is not health. Plan your eating so your weekends to not feel like you are depriving yourself and it will become less cheating.

I'm being able to lose about 5-6 lbs a week with 'cheating' on weekends. I eat like I used to eat on weekends and eat a reduced calorie diet on week days. It's so far been helping me stay on my diet during the week, since eating healthy is a HUGE difference from how I used to eat every day (fast food, pizza, etc).

After weekends I'm about 1 lb heavier than Friday but I lose that usually on Monday and lost more weight by the following Friday.

*shrug* I need to make a lifestyle change to eat healthier all the time, but I'm just not ready for that. I love to eat, and I hate eating healthy foods. I'm a huge red meat, burgers, bacon, pizza, chinese, pasta etc eater, so this is a HUGE step for me Wink

I'm betting that your losses will eventually come to a screeching halt. After that, you may start gaining or not be able to shift those pounds without changing your weekend diet. If that happens don't despair! Just fix up your weekend menu and all should be ok.
For now, enjoy those losses! By the time you start stalling you should be good and ready to make whatever changes you'll need to Smile I'm all for changing things a little at a time, so keep doing whatever is working for you right now. Just be prepared to be flexible when the time comes.

Thanks! Looks like we're just about looking for the same goal. I started at 194 ish and am looking to get to 145 or possibly as low as 140. Smile

Back when 6 years ago we owned a skate park. I used to eat fast food all day and night every day and night(Checkers, Mcdonalds, Bagels with cream cheese <3, Applebees, pizza, pretzles and hotdogs). LoL

I lost weight and was in the low 130's (132) and my Cholesterol was better than normal and the Dr said my blood pressure is that of an athlete.

He asked what I have been eating to get so healthy (I always had high cholesterol) and was shocked when I told him I started eating worse than I ever did in my entire life lol

It was the extreme exercise that let me be able to eat anything and everything and stay healthy. *sigh*

When we sold the place I stopped the extreme exercise but not the eating habits Mad

I can just imagine what my cholesterol is now! I plan to get it checked out when I am done losing my weight Smile
