Hi Ladies and Gents,
I hope you're hanging in there. The new "just do something" mini-challenge was very intentionally placed at a time when most of us start to falter and feel guilty. I'm adding to that goal "let's check our attitudes." Before you assign some negative moral attirbute to yourself for whatever you've done that falls short of perfection, channel your inner cheerleader. You can do this, you can make a new good choice right now. You can always keep working toward the right things. We all spent months (or years) building habits that aren't good for us; it will take time to build the good ones, and we won't be perfect till we die.
So today, instead of al the negative thought patterns that run through your head, try to be intentional about stopping that thought and inserting a new one. "I can do this. I am already beautiful (or handsome), kind, and loving. And by the grace of God, I will keep improving day by day."
Because at the end of the day, it isn't about whether we did the workout video, or avoided the chocolate pie pitfall...It's about how we think about ourselves and others, and how we reflect that in our thoughts and actions.
