My only question is how to account for the exercise on our calendar. I'm planning on using a pedometer which would mean about 2 miles/hour for slow walking. So, 10,000 steps would be about 2,000 steps/mile. A casual mile would take about 30 minutes. So for every 2,000 steps would enter 30 minutes. This shouldn't be too bad: grocery shopping today took in 1500 steps. Any other ideas?

A few sites have steps to miles converters two of my favorite are Walk4life that one is really good if you know your stride length. And then there is Convert Steps To Miles a little less accurate but still a good point of reference. Keep up the good work though, every step counts. (=^_^=)

It wont have the bells and whistles that higher end models have but as long as you don't need those extras and just need to count steps cheaper is easier on the check book. (=^_^=)
