I've been having a surprisingly hard time with it, considering the fact that I lived on a 40%/30%/30% (carbs/proteins/fats) for ages.
I'm getting back on track now, and planning seems to be the key. My schedule is all over the place, so I find myself grabbing whatever's quick a lot.
To try to balance that out, I made a batch of twelve egg white/smoked turkey/cheese English muffin sandwiches yesterday. Six went in my chest freezer and another six in the fridge; now I can just grab one and nuke it when I need to eat something. I plan to make the next batch with double portions of egg white, though, both to add more protein and make them more filling.
Next time I hit the store I plan to snag some apples. I think I'll probably steal Angussmith's idea and get some cheese sticks, too
I'm in a build-up phase now for the last race on my bike-racing calendar for the year, so I will definitely need ways to put in more calories, and those will bring along both calories and protein.Edit
ed to fix typo!
