Eat Your Beans New findings from the landmark Nurses' health Study suggest that simply eating two servings of beans, lentils, garbanzos or any other tasty legume each week can cut a woman's risk of breast cancer by 34%. Beans contain proven cancer stoppers including isoflavones, protease inhibitors and saponins. "Plus they're rich in fiber, which binds to toxins in the digestive tract, forcing them to be excreted instead of absorbed," says Yale researcher David Katz, M.D.
