Chili con Carne al Estilo Tejano

Sin ninguna duda, el chili con carne es el plato oficial del estado de Texas (EEUU). De sabor fuerte, picante y muy apetitoso.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Lava y pica la cebolla, ajo, guindilla, pimiento rojo y tomates en cuadritos pequeños.
  2. Calentamos el aceite donde freiremos la carne junto con la cebolla y los dientes de ajo picados.
  3. Después de 5 minutos, añadimos el pimiento rojo, los tomates, las alubias, el orégano, comino, guindilla, pimenton, chile en polvo, la pimienta y la sal.
  4. Baja la temperatura y cocina por 15 minutos.
  5. Si se seca mucho el líquido agrega algo de agua. Revisa la sal y corrige de ser necesario.
  6. *Si no tuvieramos alubias cocidas, pueden usarse alubias normales, previamente las abremos dejado en remojo 12 horas, las añadiremos al final junto con un litro de caldo de ternera. y debera cocer unas 2 horas.
  7. *Puede servirse solo, acompañado de arroz, o con tortillas de trigo o maiz, nachos, queso cheddar...
