My husband and I like craft beers. We found a new brewery down the road a few miles and have frequented it a little too much obviously. Why won't these stubborn pounds come off?? Hmm....maybe my occational beer is packing on more calories that I thought. Its off my list now. Good bye keg belly, hello six pack abs! (I can dream right? Lol)

Also, we've been doing really well about getting our 30 minutes a day of hooping, except for 2 travel days. Its fun, its relaxing, and my skills are getting better. I'm not so self concious about hooping in the yard anymore and even waved to some people walking by.

I found a couch to 5k app on my phone that I downloaded forever ago but thought it was too scary to try. I ran two 5k's before our wedding last year and I was very proud to run them in about an hour. I haven't trained at all since. I think I may start again. Why not? My heart will thank me, my dog will enjoy it, and my knees will hate me but they will get over it. Start today? Sure! The question is....drag the husband along or not....and how to carry this phone!

Craft beers can definitely pack on the pounds! While a "commercial beer" runs anywhere from 100-150 calories, "craft beers" - especially the IPA's - can go up to 500 calories per 12-16 ounce serving. My husband and I were working out 4-5 days per week, and he'd come home and slug down one or two IPA craft beers, and found out that his beloved beer had 450 calories in a 12 ounce bottle. Now he calls it the "devil beer" LOL The other thing about beer vs. say - wine or clear liquor is that there are many more carbs in beer, which, of course, coverts to sugar = more weight gain.
