Use this time without a scale to focus on how you feel instead of the #! I've been trying to do that, if I feel good that day, I eat better, regardless of what the scale says. Hope your scale comes soon though! 

i understand what you mean. i need to weigh in daily. going on vacation makes me crazy! 

Good advice from Diane. And Jess, vacation has totally messed with my weigh-in, food, exercise...everything. Jessa, what kind of scale did you buy? I couldn't tell from your June 5th journal. I have a Tanita Ironman body composition scale. I'm not sure that I'll love it as much when I get back from vacation, but usually I love it.  

Heather, I got the Eatsmart scale. Got great reviews on Amazon (and here). It's called "Eatsmart Precision Plus Digital Bathroom Scale with Ultra Wide Platform and Step-on Technology, 440-Pounds" I am hoping it comes in early. I love #'s. And I know the the #'s aren't everything (I listen Bkeller!), I just like to see them. They make me happy when I play with my spreadsheets. :-) The Eatsmart scale seems to really stand behind their product. Quick replacement if something goes wrong. I really like that! 

I bought the eatsmart scale too based in reviews. It's called the "EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale w/ Extra Large Backlit 3.5" Display and "Step-On" Technology love it! Very accurate and easy to use.... 

Thanks Pgwagner! So far, no buyers remorse! @ Jess: I know you like spreadsheets too and understand what I mean. If I ever go away again...gonna make sure the hotel/motel/Holiday Inn has one. Just like my numbers! I hate a skipped day! 

Yeah, I totally understand being tied to the #'s. Sometimes I feel like I live my life in excel spreadsheets haha. I just like to give out advice that I don't always follow myself :) 

Just keep in mind that when you get your new scale, it may show a gain because it's a new scale and the new one wasn't calibrated against your old one. Don't let it get you down. When I bought my new scale. I weighed myself on the old one and then jumped on the new one. There was a +1.6 pound difference between the two scales. 

Good luck with your new scale. It makes me want to try it when I'm there. I probably shouldn't though because if it is lower than mine, I will want a new one. I also haven't got confirmation that you got the "mom" message so I don't know if we are still having email problems. I can't wait for just dance. Have a great week, well three more days.  

@Losin25: I am aware I might get a gain. I think the broken scale is high, so I am hoping for a loss. We shall see this week. :-) @Rae: I emailed you this morning...I said ok and I can't wait for Just Dance either! @Milla: I do spreadsheets for a living. I make my own, pretty much daily. LOL Love it! If you need something let me know! :-) 

My budget is insane....all the way til 2070! Was sooooo much fun to make!
