moondove's Journal, 12 February 2018

Okay, I'm getting a little flustered today. I have not cheated whatsoever since I began LCHF and my lil ol scale is moving oh so slowly down... Then this morning, I'm up almost 1 lb. WTHeck! I do drink lots of water. The worst part of the slowness of weight loss is that for the last 3 nights I have been dreaming of desserts full of carbs, and I AM EATING THEM! LOL! I've never had dreams like that before, although it is kinda funny ITS NOT! Maybe feeling guilty because I bought items to make almond joy fatbombs that I found on the Keto Connect site??? Hmmm... Hahahahahahha!

Anywayzzz... Gotta figure out how to get this weight loss moving so I don't lose my motivation.

House chores all done: vacuum and sweep downstairs and upstairs, dusting, clean 3 bathrooms clean kitchen, 3 loads of laundry fold/hang put away, and my walking shoes have been chasing me around all day, so off on a walk I go!

Evening Edit: Yep, I was bad and ate an Atkins meal bar because my dinner wasn't good and I dumped it. I will pay for this tomorrow. Argggg...

A great low carb desert is taking chocolate readi whip in a can and spray a serving into a dessert dish and put it in the freezer and a couple hours later take it out and spray some regular whipped cream on top a few carbs and like having ice cream

daveserra, the low carb dessert sounds great, and simple!

Don’t give up! Sometimes an increase could be too much protein and not enough fat. Try lowering your proteins by about 10g and increase the fat by 20. The proteins can sneak in when you aren’t looking.... an extra bite here, a slice of cheese, etc. not everyone loses fast. Slow and steady wins this race! You go ahead and Keto On! #butterinmycoffee

Christmastee, I'm not giving up. Thanks for your support! Pushing through low carb flu symptoms was the hardest part for me, and having the real flu made it worse. I haven't snacked in between meals. My fat has been hoovering around 75-80%, my protein around 25-30%. The thing is, I feel progressively lighter. I gotta get my tape measure out tonight.

Your macros look pretty good, and the tape measure idea is great! Use non-scale victories when you can. I had to get rid of my scale. It was too frustrating. I limit my weigh-ins to once per week at the grocery store. What I eat would make another person lose too fast, but age and medical factors make my body hang onto every microgram of fat! My supplements, spices, and medications also had hidden carbs in them. Keto is often difficult, but ultimately, it wins.

I wouldn't spend too much time analyzing and do what you do, I agree it's probably the chicken broth and tomorrow you will be good to go.

Moogiemynes, Thanks so much for sharing your insight. I too have ongoing med issues that I am being monitored for every 3 months. Ugh... I am hoping that is not what is causing my slow weight loss. I am hanging in there with God's arms wrapped around me!
